I create art to help me express my thoughts and feelings, find beauty in our flaws, emphasis topics that I and many women struggle with daily, and empower women. My works focuses on subject matter such as mental health stigmas, women’s rights, body empowerment and include elements such as; female nudes, bold or contrasting color, storytelling and symbolism, large scale painting and collaging mixed medias. I would describe my art as intimate, raw, powerful, open, bold, expressionistic, and contemporary. I work with the traditional canvas and paper, but also have experimented with different surfaces such as wood, sheet rock, recycled/upcycled items, interior and exterior walls and windows to create murals, hand painted clothing, and body painting. I like to think of the ideals some graffiti artist aim for where we can bring culture and issues to the people who may not see it in a gallery.
